It's time to sign up for Springfield School District #186's 5th Grade Basketball League. All games will be held at The Gym of Springfield. The Gym has two full size courts, lighted scoreboards and plenty of seating. Referees and scorekeepers are provided so all parents can relax and enjoy the game! The season consists of eight games which begin in September 2007. The registration fee for this league is $30 and the deadline for signing up is September 1, 2007.
All 5th graders are invited to participate. There will be separate leagues for girls and boys with every effort made to keep all students from the same school on the same team. All teams will consist of 10 players. Every player is guaranteed to play at least two quarters each game. If you would like any other information, please call The Gym of Springfield at (217)522-7122.
Volunteer Coaches Are Needed! Coaching at this level can be fun and rewarding! You have a chance to make a positive influence on young player's lives and be directly involved in your child's activities. We make it as easy as possible for you by providing basketballs, scorebooks, possession arrows and coaches' diagram boards for all games. Practices will be at the participating schools' facilities and all games will be held at The Gym of Springfield.
