The Springfield Basketball Academy is the basketball teaching division of The Gym.

The head instructors, Al Klunick and Steve Klunick, have over fifty years combined coaching experiences at the grade school, junior high and high school levels. Other coaches will participate in the programs as needed.

The Academy offers five programs:

• Training Sessions – for the serious players in grades four through twelve
  
  
• Plyometrics / Shooting Program – a pre-season program for junior high and high school players
  
  
• Summer Basketball Camp – for players in grades three through eight (different divisions based on grade)
  
  
• Little Shooters Basketball Camp– for players in kindergarten, first and second grades
  
  Little Players Fall Fundamentals-for beginner player and specifically designed for children in Kindergarten through 2nd grade
  
  
  Christmas Shooting Camp-designed for boys and girls 3rd - 8th who want to take their shooting to the next level
